What do you do with your old graphics cards after a upgrade?
I have a old GTX 970 FE AND A GTX 1660 ti FE. Do people just give/throw them away or just keep them in a closet forever? Is a 1660TI worth selling?

I gave my old PC components to a teenager working on his first build.

I warned him he probably wouldn't want them, but he took them anyway. So, his problem now, lol.
I'm still on my 2080 Ti.
I have a locker full of stuff. I break down all my PCs into useful components.

I really should get rid of a lot of it.
When I have enough spare parts to build a PC, I'll fix it up and give it away to someone I know will use it.

I got a 2070 super but it just wasn't enough for me so I got a 2080ti right after, and gave the 2070 super to a friend.

He built a whole PC around it and uses it every day.
I’m not surprised they still last for you both and that was a really kind gesture toward your friend!
I do what my father does everytime we get a new PC, we throw it in the scrap yard, including the memories. I want to keep the memories...
sell it with older parts if im upgrading or just the gpu itself
I’ve sold my old GTX 980 on ebay. Still got 200 € for it and that was before the GPU scalper craze.

I just throw all my parts in the trash to go to some landfill.

I installed my previous graphics card in a computer where the AMD graphic chipset was busted, dying, and kept sending the computer into bluescreens.
Sell it, you can get decent money selling GPU's and RAM you don't need anymore.
I keep them around since a lot of motherboards don't have onboard graphics anymore, so they can be useful for testing or temporary fixes.

I eat them so I can get better FPS in my brain.
This guy gets it.
I ate a 1TB SSD once and now i can store even more useless knowledge.
the only time I throw something away is if it's not longer working or is about to blow up.
