personal experience :

a limited number of niche christian dating websites (not apps) in my own nation and language are good.
-they have moderators that kick anybody out that is not christian by MY defenitions (so not only are non christians barred but also catholics, jehova witness, mormons, evangelicals and protestants that are not strict enough no name a few..
-this gives a wondefull experience for those on those niche pages.
**but even they suffer from the -age, picture, profession problem.
-where in our circles the demands on woman are low (they are basicly just to be good housewifes that are also devout to God anything else is a bonus) are the demands on man a lot higher..
and where on say a church meeting you can have an intesting debate about the faith.. or share your other interests without them knowing your age or job.. so persona can win her over.. non such luck on that dating site.
-and thats why in my experience you are FAR more likely to get an actual date being on an chatting site talking about a topic you are passionate about... than a dating site...
*some dating sites have chatrooms also and lurking in them talking with the other people does fare better than just sending messages.
***but even the best dating sites I know (and there really are few options as there are only 4 christian dating sites of which 1 is false (they allow gay in) 1 is useless (no moderation so way to many catholics and trolls) so only 2 left
both of these used to have a chatroom but one of them has scrapped the chatroom (making nembership pointless as your chance to get a date without chatroom is 0)
leaving the 1..
but even it has a flaw..
-they used to give free trial memberdship of 1 month after that you needed to pay.. that was good.. for the site only has 200 paying members.. 120 man 80 woman... with only about 20 man and 20 woman under 40.. your chances of finding the 1 are nill.m
. but luckely each month. about 60 people would get a trial subscription.. most under 30 and abour 2/3 female so perfect!

but the greedy owners of the site have renoved free trial and replaced for limited account.. how limited?.. very!
-they cannot join the chatroom not even if I a paying member invite them
-they cannot iniate any message so no sending text either
-and they can only ONCE a day reply to a message send by a paying member and even than not free to type a respone but only select from 5 default responses.

totally useless.. so for then to respond to my message they first need to shell out 40 euro for 3 months subscription... ofvourse they not do that. so I ended my paying subscription years ago too.. without the influx of free trial people there was just no fishing pond..


tldr version
-dating sites used to be better but have been ruined by smartphones
-chatsites work better than dating sites but most chatsites have gone extinct.
-if you still join a dating site pick one that is niche fitting your interest and believes not broad.
-online the same is true as irl: do what you are passionate about and you will meet people sharing that interest. so join places where you meet people sharing your passion.

Well @OP dating apps are for "hooking up" AFAIK (aka you're treated as a product / cattle), so either you go "ol' school" for a meaningful relantionship or just gamble in STD's russian roulette apps / how to get mug 101 apps.
