Seriously, I wish more GTA-style open world games were set in left side of the road countries. Watchdogs Legion and Sleeping Dogs were great, but I wish we could have more.

Agreed. Visiting someplace like Germany it's very weird to be on the right side of the road, and it's VERY weird to sit to the right of a vehicle and not be the one driving.

Most people are right handed, makes perfect sense to have a right hand drive, no?

but then it doesn't make quite sense, because the gear stick would be on the left side of the driver. I don't think that it has much to do with being right handed or not, because the main driving lane would still adjust according to the driver seat, it means that it would be on the left, which is backward to me. We always use the right in traffic, right side always has right of way.

I don't see the problem with that. If anything, if you're right handed, it feels more natural to use your dominant right hand to steer the vehicle, and use your non-dominant left hand to change gears.

Also, most people being right handed means that when travelling on foot or by car, it's more natural to keep to the left, so that you can properly acknowledge and avoid oncoming traffic on your right. Not that crazy if you ask me.

In my country we steer on the left and drive on the right side of the road. Miss me with that UK/Japan stuff.

Australia follow UK so we are right car seat drivers but drive on the left lane.

...although some cars here do drive in the right lane, I almost got hit by one the other day!
And no wonder I drove well in Watch Dogs Legions. :marijaonlooker:

If you're not driving on the sidewalk, in the petunias, on the neighbors - then you're doing it wrong.

Civilized Europeans don't, weird not European Europeans do

The steering wheel is usually on the side that is closer to the middle of the road. It enables those who are driving to better gauge how to pass an oncoming car safely and also makes it easier for passengers to board from the pavement. And since most countries in europe drive on the right side, the cars are build so that the steering wheel is on the left.

Actually, other than on the British Isles, the steering wheel is on the left side of the car and people drive in the right lane.

I thought they drive on the left lane or did a joke fly over my head?

What ever side of the road you drive on, it's best if the driver's seat is near the centre of the road, it helps you see a lot easier. I have driven left hand drive vehicles on UK roads, and it just feels weird. It's harder to over take safely and you get many more "blind bends". The same would be true the other way around. It's also more expensive to insure a car built for the "wrong" side of the road because of this.
