Tips on reducing memory usage?
Haha this may seem dumb to ask I apologize, but what are some methods you guys use to reduce memory usage when gaming? I suffer from this issue from mainly games like Rocket League or GTA. I've been using programs that optimize memory, and I lower the games resolution to use up less memory and those do the job, but I've been wondering if theres any real solution for this.

I feel like this is a huge issue for my computer, as it takes up a whole gigabyte of memory/RAM when I don't even run a game!

Thanks in advance!

Shut down every application you're not using. Check for some pesky continual processes that are running for updaters.

Alternately, buy more RAM.

Are anti-virus programs any useful? I feel like Malwarebytes and Window's anti-virus are the only useful and non-pesky programs that always ask for you to buy a paid version.
