What role do you play in your hierarchy of friends?
title

The Leader - The one who typically decides on everything. Where you guys are gonna hang out for the day, what you're gonna do for the day, which house you guys are going to, what game you're gonna play, etc. etc. can also function as a mediator when disagreements break out, but can also cause disagreements. There is always a leader, because you can't put 2 people in a room without one trying to tell the other what to do.

The Second in Command - Basically fulfills the role of the group leader if the leader isn't present. Typically agrees with the leader, but may could also be diametrically opposed depending on the type of group.

The Mediator - Similar to the leader, but simply lacks the aptitude (or motivation) to make decisions. Also known as the peacemaker. Solves disagreements in the group with a soft approach and level head. Not all friend groups have a mediator.

The Comedian - Group morale booster. Typically someone in the group whom everyone finds hilarious. Great to bring to parties. Not so great to bring around family.

The Photographer - aka the selfie specialist. Always armed with a phone for outings or even just to go to the bathroom. Will make your entire existence into a documentary worthy of an oscar...if documentaries even get oscars....

The Runt - aka the beta. The groups punching bag. Typically has zero self-esteem (or a fetish for masochism), but nevertheless loved as the group's vocal "stress relief"...or unloved as the group's hated member whom can't be exiled.

I was the mediator. Only person we didn't really have in my circle of friends was a photographer. There was a chick who'd hang out with us at times and she was really big on the selfies though. She was an honorary member. Closest we had to a photographer.

So what does that mean? You stalk other people's friends?

Friends? What friends?

with my group of friends(roles we had arent on this list) besides photographer everyone else was either a moral goofball or a loner, but for me in my group of friends i tend to make them laugh with my randomness and overall positive vibes which i would say the role was a line between comedian and support

None of the ones you described. I'd describe myself as the Counselor, since most of times my friends (sometimes even strangers) come to me to ask for advices, suggestions and to talk about what to do next when they are lost in a x situation.

What about mediator?

I've cut it down to one friend, and we kind of joint control of our friendship.
Not sure what you'd call it, but it works.

I thought about this one as well, but I'm not a peacemaker nor try to solve disagreements, I simply give my opinion about what is the best choice to take, if the person is going to follow it or not, it's not of my interest.

I'm usually the Rogue, but sometimes I multi-class into Wizard.

I switch roles as necessary for the situation at hand. Different circumstances requiring different approaches and all.

We're a group of friends, not a RPG party with quests.
