Why do female athletes dress so skimpily?
I was just watching women's long jump championships for some reason and I noticed that the women all wear WAY too revealing outfits, like they wear the smallest shorts imaginable and then they pull it up their butt crack so their whole butt cheeks stick out. The male athletes don't do this, so is it just to entertain straight male viewers or something? It's just so cringe and embarrassing to watch as someone who isn't into that, I mean how can they expect anyone to take them seriously as athletes when they're running around flashing their whole butt like that? And they do this is almost all women's sports not just long jump.

100% truth

funny how on one hand women/girls will defend wearing the smallest skimpiest most revealing thing possible. Then on the other hand complain about being objectified and seen as 'sexual'. its a comedy show sadly.

Also the argument, well i'm an athlete and i get hot when i run or w/e. So i need to wear the absolute tightest thing possible has been sold to girls through propaganda. You realize by wearing something light weight and loose it'll breath better and you'll stay cool much easier/quicker.

but hey w/e keep on wearing 'shorts' so tight they are literally toilet paper 2.0..

You are of course entitled to your opinion. Personally I wouldn't make such claims that men don't do that too and everyone would not have respect for female athletes. If you watch men swimmers for one example, they have quite revealing dresses. And you totally missed the point about mental affects. But since you want to push on with your agenda, rant on.

Even the athletes are entitled for personal preferences. If someone does not like tiny ears or human behinds or some other parts of natural figures of human bodies, there is a little to do that.
Then why did the whole NBA switch from skimpy outfits to loose baggy ones? If a bikini helps performance then why don't male runners wear a jock-strap version of a bikini? Or male volley ball players. etc etc

The AI likes seeing meat jiggle, so if you expose yourself it focuses on that so much that it forgets to manipulate your local environment to make life especially difficult and taxing. In the olden days people used to focus their technique on flopping and jiggling more than baseline performance.

It's a slightly unfair advantage in a competitive environment, and I think we should conduct all future events in skin-tight spandex and frilly leg and wristbands in the future. Y'know, to arbitrarily level the playingfield without granting an unfair advantage to, say, men with polevaulting talents.

seems you have your own ridiculous agenda.

Look how powerful, beautiful, good looking and strong I am. There's no way you can beat me! Then the dresses which are the most skin tight and revealing are the ones that serves that the best.

uh huh. so to be a powerful, beautiful, good looking strong woman you just need to wear the tightest most revealing clothing.

got ya.

think we totally got the 'agenda' you're going for. LOL.

you don't need to sexualize women for them to be powerful, beautiful, good looking, or strong.

please stop.

Yes, many do.
I watch female boxing/mma. It's definitely come a long way, and a couple rose to top level prominence alongside men (in fame/money, that is).

Im very inclined to agree OP as i certainly don't remember female athletes dressing this way decades ago. You didn't see all the caked on makeup and baby oil either not to mention some pervy camera work that completely ruins where we actually want the camera at during an event..
If it was claimed by experts that it frees movement then surely the gain would be equal among female athletes in which case would also be equal if it was say a proper pair of shorts.
Female sportwomen never got the same recognition as their male counterparts as a public wants to see real olympian feats which due to natural body design will always be men 99% of the time.

Add in the fact athletes don't really make a bean without advertising and use to go back to normal working class jobs and you have the recipe for exploitation.

Like a lot of the ways our female of the species behave i would strongly imagine the real suffragettes of the early 1900 would be shocked, outraged even.

Exploiting oneself is the modern excuse but the simple truth remains its still exploitative and still marketed solely to garnish male attention. Completely misses the point and why such incidences will forever relegate women to nothing but a consideration rather than an equal of gender.

you are comparing people eating in an.. omg.. restaurant.. to girls having their literal asses exposed in said restaurant, with little kids, families, etc around.. rofl..
so what happens to kids when they see an ass do they like explode or something cause if so yeah that would be kind of not poggers but idk I've never heard of that tbh

the topic IS ABOUT women. hello.... so of course we are talking about women wearing much to revealing clothing.

but thats ok, you keep defending your position of revealing and tight clothing is the best way to promote strength, power, and beauty.

like i said. we get what your 'agenda' is.

Great fight between Mackenzie
Dern & Tecia Torres last weekend at UFC 273 btw, what a battle. They've both done awesome in their recent matches as well.

Second best fight of the night imo, great work by both....second best, after the khamzat Chimaev - Gilbert burns fight.

My ufc 273 thread got "proofed" is it not allowed to talk about combat sports on this forum or is it some mod who just don't like my posts 😂

Hmm may need vpn but u watched this highlight from the Chimaev - Gilbert burns fight earlier.. pretty good highlight clip (youtube can't have fights in full)

The only thing "cringe" is this thread's question...
