I don't know, but I do remember watching a Converge video back in the early 00s and I said to myself "ugh not this site" because YouTube was new and slow at the time.

Not sure because back when Youtube first started, there were actually quite a few video sites that people went to. Youtube wasn't the "Go to" place to watch videos.

The early days of YouTube, in Britain at least, seemed to revolve around the happy slapping fad of the mid 2000s, but I don't think I really got into watching YouTube until the early 2010s.
