Mouse keyboard or controller?
What are you using the most? Probably depends on the game and genre. I always try it with mouse keyboard but many games are focused on controller these days thats why i always appreciate proper mouse and keyboard support. But kudos to people which play souls like with mouse keyboard thats impossible for me

depends entirely on the game.

Forza is a game I play entirely on controller as racing with KB+M is just stupid.

FPS on the other hand I use KB+M as its easier than controller to line up shots.

So yeah its all down to the genre I am playing to dictate my input method.

Kb/mouse.
I have controller but I kinda suck using it since I have never been console player and trying to look around with controller always feels so freaking clumsy and inferior compared to the mouselook.
Some games kinda need controller but whenever possible kb/mouse.

I'm not spending money on something I'm only going to use with one game. If it doesn't support keyboard and mouse, I'm not financially supporting it. If the dev consistently makes games like that, they go on the list.

What list? The list of devs who need to repent for their tech heresy. No I'm not going to explain it.

All FPS with mouse and keyboard.
3rd person shooters like Gears 5 also with mouse and keyboard.
Racing games, sports games and fighting games with controller.
This would be a thread for Mac the worth a buy guy lol. He always hates when games don’t have proper mouse keyboard support rightfully so

I use a controller most. Sometime I use my wheel, pedals and gear shift for driving games.

It depends. As a PC gaming snob, I'd be the first to call people who use a controller for shooter games perverts. Especially if they degrade themselves by accepting aim assist.

But plenty of games, like most 3rd person action games require a controller.

For sidescrollers and platformers and puzzle games and RPGs, I'm just as comfortable with a controller as with the arrow keys. Though only with the d-pad. Analog sticks are no good.

Newer controllers with a touchpad have their uses. I'm eager to see how Citra development goes and whether DS4 and DS5 controllers can be used to "e-word" touch screen inputs.
KB/M for me. Owning a console was and still is a luxury in my country so I couldn't possibly switch to thumbs being my main input fingers after over 20 years of them mostly pressing only the space bar. I even play 2D platformers and fighting games on keyboard, not the least because I am just not used to having to push buttons in rapid sequences with my thumbs alone or having to push two buttons simultaneously on a controller.

Doom actually plays pretty well with a controller

I´ve got mouse and keyboard for any game - yes souls-like work too, even if probably not the best choice. A racing wheel, which i haven´t used in years - a hotas, which i last used for Elite-Dangerous and i guess most of the fun is just using that device instead of really playing the game. And that´s basically it. The last time i used a controller was for some fifa game, before they had the analog input going. Didn´t want to buy another one just for sports games, so i skipped the genre.

I don´t like many of the console ports which are basically just built to use a controller - instead of working on better mouse and keyboard controls, and customization options. I want to turn the character with the mouse - not the camera - this camera has to turn with the character. And i don´t need two different uses for a button if i stand still or move - or just one or two inventory slots, because i have many spare buttons.

I play almost only with controllers, it is much more fun and satisfying for me. Even when a game don't support controllers or is not meant to be played with a controller I always at least try every game I decide to play with a gamepad. In most cases I end up playing tem with my gamepad even when they are meant to be played with mouse and / or keyboard.
It is too much more fun and also I am too much more used to it to be able to adapt easily to mouse and keyboard.
On Pc, pretty much everything with mouse and keyboard.

Unless i use tool to play games from popular 3 letter nintendo console on PC, there i use tv remote + control stick.

And when i play on wiiu or switch. Well, there i am forced to use a controller if i want or not
I use keyboard and mouse for all games fps, tps, fighting and even racing games.

singleplayer/CO-OP games, i use a controller
as it's just more relaxing

pvp/competitive multiplayer games i use a keyboard and mouse
as it's just far better to aim with

i'm not terrible with a controller and aiming
but mouse is just so much better for it.
