FYI for others - Winrar is free, provided the user agrees to the "trial period." And, the trial period is only enforced by the user's honor, alone. It's always been that way and Winrar's "honor system" is legendary.

I bought it just to support them. I remember i paid less when i clicked buy now in the winrar message compared to when i visited the site normally.Than i had an additioonall message which said if i want to pay less and than it was only 20 bucks at the end . When i visited the site normally ii would have paid over 40 something. If you use it a lot than yes support them

It will depend on how regularly you use it, but sure. Can be a good purchase for some people and it supports the developers.

I personally like WinRAR over some others like WinZip or 7-Zip.

Exploits in those apps have been patched, so it's a good idea to have them up-to-date.
