Playstation Controller or Xbox Controller

Between these two which one is better designed in your opinion?

I prefer the Playstation one with the two central joysticks.

I have both PS4 + Xbox One Elite controllers. I prefer Xbox controller for battery charge life and comfort.

By default, the Playstation's is probably a bit better. But, it has a touchpad and Xbox's doesn't.

But, they're both... tiny. Obviously, so that children can more easily use them. Neither are that "great" as far as overall design, goes. They are adequate. (I had to get silicone controller covers and joystick pads to make them a cut above "adequate."

I have an XBox Elite controller and it's very nice. I like the arrangement and heft as well as the ability to customize the hardware a bit. I don't have an equivalent PS controller for comparison.

PS for sure.

The asymmetrical design of the Xbox controller doesn't work for me at all, and I still prefer the PS1/2 style shoulders over the dumb triggers.

Also, Playstation controllers still have the only decent d-pads ever made (at least first party for a major console), except the original tank DS.

playstation have better gamepads.

when I need to play FPS I go with keyboard and mouse , I also have a racing wheel for racing sim even if it's old and a few recent games don't detect it many still does.

For controller it'll always be PS even when most games only provide Xbox style button prompts/

Xbox is an abomination. Lopsided analog sticks are a crime against nature.

I always preferred the Dualshock layout. I bought a Dualshock 4 just to use with my PC. The lower thumbstick position on the X-box controllers is harder for me to be accurate with, and the face buttons are also angled a little bit differently.

But either one is better then the dang Wii U tablet controller.

I dunno what kind of Disney villain they thought was going to be playing Wii U but most people's index fingers are less than the eight feet required to reach L/R.

I also don't get that like 30 minute battery life. I legit think the GameGear lasted longer

I prefer the Playstation controller. Unfortunately on PC it causes issues with Doom 64 (to me at least) so I bought a different controller.

up to now , I almost never had any games I could not make work with my playstation gamepad in some way or another , if I can't with steam input then I go for 360ce or just anti-micro..

I prefer the xbox design with asymmetrical sticks. But I like the playstation controller shoulder buttons too, so I use a Hori onyx controller for my ps4 and pc.

True. But the Gamecube controller was only slightly less absurd.

But then, the gimmicky DS stylus and Wiimote were probably the worst. It's amazing that the Wii-U crashed so hard and they didn't.
