PowerA NANO enhanced wireless controller

So I bought a PowerA NANO enhanced wireless controller bc while I love the Switch Pro Controller, it's a little big for my hands.
The controller is officially licensed by Nintendo and works great on Switch but I haven't managed to make it work on Steam :(
The controller gets detected as "NSW NANO enhanced wireless controller" but not as a
*Nintendo controller* like my pro one. Which means that I can't do ANYHTING with it :(
Can anyone help please ?

i have replaced 3 powerA controllers..

Power A do not support their version of a Nintendo Switch controller on PC. They do not supply a driver and their stance is we have PC compatible controllers.

It's actually supposed to work ? I checked before buying it and it worked for several people with the controller being detected as a Pro one.
Plus I have another Power A controller and it works fine on steam,it's just too big for me as well
