Why do people hate Fortnite so much?

Why do people, mainly adults, hate that game so much? I'm 27 and I don't get why many people round my age or older than me hate it. My friends play it but every here and there i see people complaining about it being a kids game and being cringe or idk.

I played once on my Switch but i found it pretty hard to play with the joycons and in it's screen, maybe i should give it a try on PC

I don't know Fortnite enough to really hate it for what it is, I hate ePig, I hate Tim Swine, I have always hated them and any influence they have had in the gaming industry (yes when the Unreal Engine came out and everybody started using it I hated it too, because I was used to games that were much more unique on consoles and all of a sudden every game looked the same and every game was a filthy boring and stupidly edgy fps full of ♥♥♥♥ and filthy stuff set in uninspired boring and ugly locatiuons and every cgame even on console started to look like an ugly, boring and uninspired PC game. And I blame Microsoft and ePig for that and also Sony that immediately decided to copy them even if XBox was a flop - what were they thinking??? Idiots they ruined console gaming that generation)

Another thing that I hate is multiplayer, expecially online multiplayer. And Fortnite decided to focus on that crap, even if at first it had a SP moide too.

It also seems to be a huge and empty dumpster where every franchise drop one of their character just to sell its skin and contents. I must admit IF it was not made by ePig (or at least if ePig was not that obnoxious) AND if the single player mode was still playable (completely functional offline too) AND if ePig did not have such strong ies with the CCP, then when Kratos was released then I would have probably decided to try it in single player, thinking that it might have been a nice guilty pleasure (I would have not expected anything more than shallow guilty pleasure), but with all thoe problems no thanks. I hate ePig, I hatew online multiplayer, and that game does not seem very interesting anyway, it seems to be just a guilty pleasure at most for my taste and one that I noticed just because of the release of Kratos otherwise I would have less than 0 interest for it.

Somehow I don`t think a bunch of kids wearing brightly coloured costumes with some epilepsy triggering disco lights glued to their eyeballs jumping around outside my window while yelling obscenities to the world enhances that.

Not everyone hates Fortnite. We are saying that older people hate it because it’s either not fun or dumb*ss 6 year olds are screaming racial slurs. The reason Fortnite is still big is because of streamers and 6-8 year olds. Maybe you should look at things with more logic.
