Mic not working on discord.

My mic is fine when i use it at csgo's own comms system but when i use it at discord it does not work.Any help?

Have you given discord permission to access your microphone?

Start -> Microphone Privacy (start typing this after you click on start) -> "enable" discord (option is only visible when it's open)


If it already has access, are you sure that discord is using the correct microphone?

Have you tried unplugging and plugging it back?
Jokes aside, try updating your audio drivers. If you're using Windows 10 then you can do it through windows, just look it up, or do it through 3rd party software such as Driver Booster (you can find it on the steam store).

Try going to discords "user settings" which is located next to the mute and deafen button, then "voice and video" and go through all your input devices if you're not sure which is the correct one.
Also take a look at windows "recording" tab in the sound settings, check if you're using the correct device.

The last suggestion i can give you is that you open your Realtek HD audio manager and check if you front or back panels are activated (depending on where your headphones are pluged in).

I had this problem with another game. Try launching discord in admin mode.

See This Problem Comes in Selected Games only, If you are Not Able to Solve the Problem you can Simply Follow this guide https://www.rootupdate.com/2019/06/discord-mic-not-working-issue-not-picking-up-fix.html . First thing you can Always do is run discord in Admin mode. After that You can try to Login and Logout from Discord so that you can Easily Refresh the App. Still if the problem persists try Updating Audio&Video Drivers
