i cant play any videogame without headphones

No, its just that over time you get soo used to it that its hard to play without it.

I'd find it weird if you didn't use headphones.
Unless you have good quality speakers instead.

I can't use headphones or earphones to begin with due to tinnitus.

It is absolutely normal to play without it and there's no issues.

I use external speakers with the volume up at a decent level.

It surely won't help with games that require precise sound cues - hence why i can't play competitively anymore.

You are more focused to game with them, but if you use too much you can feel fuzzy, headaches, unbalanced walking.

I have awesome expensive headphones, and gaming with them on is much more immersive than with the measly speakers. Now, if I had a high quality surround speaker system, I might use that instead - but it isn't an option in a rented apartment with thin walls. :(
