Even if you've never played a game or cared to play a game before.
I know I've posted somewhere above once before, just thought I'd also add this to what I've posted before.
- Small skillgap
- SO DAMN LUCKBASED
- sOmEHoW iT BEcAMe AN E-SpORt
1. That game divides its players to
two sides: hating and loving.
Why is it bad?
Because if a game doesn't have enough things to love or hate, then the game is just bad and overhyped.
2. It depicts nothing at all and isn't creating a good enviroment itself
Lem'me just throw the unoriginal zombies, real-life military and nonsense fantasy together and let a 10 year old community lead the way.
Examples of real-life concept games:
Counterstrike: Global Offensive
The relationship between counterterrorism and terrorism.
PlayerUnknown's BattleGrounds
Military-grade combat through a fun gamemode
Arma 3
A heavily strategic and tactical imitation of a war
Call of Duty: World War II
The WWII in a game where you are the shooter
Examples of games with their own enviroment:
World of Warcraft
A game with a ton of great story and gameplay depicted in the medieval age with magic, in a MMORPG.
Overwatch (yes, an another Blizzard game)
A 6-team competetive shooter with a variety of charecters and a lof of flavour lore.
Mass Effect
A long line of a story with side quests depicted in space with the humanity advancing 10,000 years in a leap.
And a lot more
3. The game's updates went from normal to bad to worse to the worst
While I did like the start (S1-S3), the later time it became just horrible.
I didn't like fantasy in it.
I didn't like the crazy gadgets and weapons mixed with unwanted map changes.
And, then it became to the point where they lost the thing that made Fortnite popular: the simplicity.
It was so simple at the start
3 different rifles, 2 snipers, 2 shotguns, 3 different SMGs and a simple map with a chilled gameplay.
4. The game is just SO overhyped
The still-yet-Fortnite-fans-who-you-love-to-hate are out there, blinded by their hype and "I am going to spam my social life with "I won a solo game" sentences".
Well, I'm happy that the kids of the gaming society have moved to Fortnite, but if they wouldn't be there, the game would be a lot better.
Harder gameplay, reliable teammates with normal PCs, better updates and more focus to gameplay rather than skins.
I have more to say, but for an another time.
I don't really like how it unintentionally seems to cater to kids and how you can't avoid it, but it's a great game with a very tasteful art style. It's just well made.
It's just not my kind of game, but I adore the art. People need to learn you can enjoy something even if you don't like it and vice versa.
Yes it does. Just because you don't like something doesn't mean you can't appreciate it. People rip on all of Fortnite which doesn't make any sense. It's not a bad game, it doesn't look bad, even the marketing isn't terrible. It's just that a lot of people play the game and it's appealing to kids due to its stylized or "cartoony" visuals. I personally don't like the game, but I can appreciate its art and design.
Because of that, some people treat it like it's the reincarnation of Hitler himself.
Also, -snip- works well too when quoting.
