The wiimote is underrated.

Arguably the most precise control scheme *on console* if you remove that aimbot garbage used on the other consoles. It works even better on PC.

I tried lots of first and third person shooters with the wiimote using custom glovepie scripts, and they work flawlessly. Plus it actually makes my Wii U gamepad useful as an IR sensor bar.

What few FPS the Wii had usually had good motion aiming controls so ill give it that. Though some games feel almost broken easy with them like Prime 3.

The wiiimote was garbage. It had one practical use as a zapper if you bought LoZ target shooting and got the gun frame.

Or does everyone forget that in order to make them not ♥♥♥♥, you had to by a sensor add on for the controller. Wii Motion Plus.

They work fine without the motion plus addition. At least for me anyway.

EDIT: also you don't need the gun frame to play shooters. i play with the wiimote in one hand and the nunchuck in another.

Yeah, they're definitely not great all of the time. Early Wii launch titles were made worse with their terrible use of motion controls but they at least worked fine for shooters.

Yeah, they're definitely not great all of the time. Early Wii launch titles were made worse with their terrible use of motion controls but they at least worked fine for shooters.

I would much rather have an ergonomic controller over motion controls or even using the wiimote properly since every time I played with a wiimote as a controller I got finger cramps.

I said practical use. It was horrible for fps games without the frame. That stupid $5 piece of white plastic made games like Umbrella Chronicles actually fun and playable. The wiimote itself was unresponsive, awkward, and a huge gimmicky piece of crap.

You know who had a good controller? Sony. The Dualshock 2 was a bloody masterpiece.
