Looking for a good third/first person hack n slash with online multiplayer

I mainly play mmo,s.
But sometimes,i like to take a break and switch to a game with some easy to get into melee combat,where i can enjoy fighting with(or rather,against)other players.
I tried games like for honor,chivalry,blade symphony or absolver,but i dont have the time and motivation,to,,git gud''.
Besides,directional combat,isnt my style anyway,and i dont have much experience with fighting games,so my reflexes could be better...
No,im looking for games like versus:battle of the gladiators,rakion,hanako,exteel(even with all those guns) or skara:the blade remains.
I can understand that a lot of people prefer complicated combat systems that are very hard to master,but since i only play such games when im taking a break from other games,id prefer something slower and,,easier to get into''.

I would still play versus,but the game is dead.
Had nice animations,swords,the combat system was simple,third person,you had some character progression,graphics have been,,ok''...and if you felt like it,you could just slay everyone in a good old FFA,without worrying about objectives or teamplay.
Even had a team-duel mode.
Had a lot of fun there and was kinda good,even with just a few hours of playtime.

In for honor,it was a completely different experience.
After over 80 hours of playtime,i still cant react fast enough to feints and parry properly,i still cant time guard breakers correctly and i lose nearly all of my duels.

Now,i DO enjoy training and getting better in mmo,s with action combat,even if it takes me a long time to get into it.
But thats because im a mmo player at heart.
Games like for honor or absolver,i just play casually for some diversity.


-The game should be playable in third or first person.
-No directional or too complex/difficult combat system.
-No,or very limited,ranged attacks.
-A big enough playerbase to find battles 24 hours a day,without the need to add someone or join discord servers...


I know that such games exist,i already played some of them.
But as you guys now,games shut down,players leave....
So im looking forward to your sugestions,maybe there are games that i missed out on?

This game is really good. It has saber combat, duels, force powers, weapons, third and first person. The playerbase isn't super big but you can find a couple servers here and there.

As long as there are at least 100 people online everyday,i guess im fine.
Im not really into star wars though,or the graphics(or the guns).

Would it be a lord of the rings game with slighly better graphics,i would play it ;)

guild wars 2, diablo 3. dota 2(though you'll probly need lvl 18 before the hack&slash super fast attacks come on as an agi hero)

Already played guild wars 2 and diablo 3.

-Guild wars 2 is more tab target with dodge rolls,and its a mmo.

-Diablo 3 isnt third or first person.

-Dota isnt third or first person either.


Not a fan of the classic moba combat system by the way.
Was hoping for something close to rakion:
Moving with wasd,using fast or heavy attacks with the left and right mouse buttons,jumping with the spacebar,blocking with the control key(if i remember that correctly)...

I don't know if you tried it (curse you steam!) but i suggest warframe. It's a third person shooter, hack and slash, mmo, sci-fi game. It's mostly a pve game but there is a small community focused around pvp.

Already tried warframe,but since its more of a pve than a pvp game(plus all the ranged combat),i dropped it very fast.
If it would be melee only,with different pvp modes,id play it.
