best early 2000's PC game
What was your most memorable / most time spent in an early 2000 video game?

I'm talking back to the flash era. Newgrounds and browser games. Even game disks.

Anything pre 2010.

For me i gotta say it'd have to be a tie between:
-mother board
-fish tycoon
-the sim city 4 deluxe pack that had like 4 games in it

all 3 spent hours upon hours on them. All 3 i remember very distinctly.

Too many singleplayer games to choose from, so I'll go with Runescape.
It's quite memorable because it was the first time I ever really played an online multiplayer game along with friends and I have some great memories of it.

I think I was heavily into Team Fortress Classic back then, if I've got my timeline right. Asheron's Call, too, maybe.

Warhammer 40.000 Dawn of War (2004). It combined something tried and tested ("hard counter" unit types, Total Annihilation's resource gathering model, Starcraft's UI) with something new (squad-based modifiable infantry and separate population capacity for vehicles and infantry). Coated in Warhammer 40.000 aesthetics, it was rounded up as a great improvement to the RTS genre.

Championship Manager 2001/2002 is the game that I was seriously addicted to back then. Still kinda am, since I still play it occassionally.
