I can guarantee you there isn't. Projects like those can't really be sold, and due to their ever-changing nature, they're far better suited for websites than game marketplaces.

One of the most hardest and confusing things I've ever touched. I've played games like Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead, which has more controls than your keyboard has keys, but Dwarf Fortress, in it's colony sim nature, was just too much for me to get into. While there are tilesets, I've found none to my liking, which means I was pretty much limited to something I wasn't fond of, or ascii art.

It's not something you just pick up and learn within a day, it's a challenge to get used to.

What format? If it's just a ZIP, right click and unpack it. Something like a RAR, I just use 7z for it.

At least I take it that it's compressed, if it refuses to open either the folder or the application.

No there's not allot of games like A.I dungeon that I can think up that's readily available on Steam. If there were I would of already owned it. The closest game on Steam that I can think of is Warsim, however it is driven more by RNG than it is A.I.
