".hack//G.U. Last Recode" is on PC. I hated it (and didn't play the extra 4th chapter that Last Recode got since I just couldn't stand playing more of that), but someone else might like it.
I also dumped "Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization" right after the main story -- that would be another game that basically pretends to be an MMO even though it's a singleplayer game.
Warcraft 3
I believe that eso has the ability to use tab to set preferential enemy, and if you build right you can still do like 1,2,3 combos and such.
I've also spent more than 25,000 hours playing Vanilla WoW between 2006 and 2022.
I'm playing on a Vanilla server called Turtle WoW, which adds custom lore-friendly content such as the scrapped Survival profession, Plainstriding racial ability for Tauren instead of a mount, High Elf playable race for the Alliance, Goblin playable race for the Horde, class rebalances and new builds, new race/class combinations, new quests, new items, new zones, new expansions...
... Basically this:

Why would I want to give my precious money to a garbage company like Activision to play their horrible cash cow Classic? When I can play the Vanilla WoW that was always meant to be for free?
And finally, I'm looking for a single player game as I stated in my first post. I can play MMORPGs all day long if I want to, nothing is stopping me, but it's not what I'm looking for.
Well, your description was very specific, with "like WoW" and even detailing a parts of the control scheme ("tab-targeting").
As far as I can tell, there is a significant difference between MMORPGs and singleplayer games. Literally all MMORPGs I've played in the days had some kind of loose overarching story that didn't do much; you were expected to just grind up to open new areas, and do stupid boss-runs with other players to get rare loot.
In contrast, all the singleplayer-RPGs I've successfully played since had a story that determined everything in the game; you were advancing to progress the story. Even if you could kill bosses a second time (oftentimes you can't...), there would be no benefit as their experience is not worth the effort, and they have fixed drops anyway -- you're not griding them for a 0.0000000001% chance of some special OP loot item like you do in MMORPGs.
I don't have a very good track-record with western-style RPGs -- they are over-complicated, bad writing, stupid limits and lots of "freedom"; I tend to stay away from them nowadays and only go with JRPGs -- but I'd guess that "like WoW" is difficult in any case, and requiring a specific WoW-inspired control scheme isn't going to increase options either...
After thinking about it a bit further, I think the Fallout 3 and above probably offer the best "ARPG" experience similar to an MMO, but still singleplayer. Fallout3: New Vegas, of course, and Fallout 4, even with all the DLC... I know they're Bethesda, but... /shrug
The Elder Scrolls games, like Daggerfall, Morrowind, and Oblivion are all excellent. "Skyrim" is a bit different than these and while more polished, isn't quite the same... The other experiences can arguably be much deeper with a much better chance of replayability as there are lots of different branching paths to take.
As you can see, Bethesda sort of made a home for itself in this sort of genre and it's difficult to get around that in terms of what you seem to be looking for.
(Everything else I can think of is sort off "on rails" and really isn't as unconstrained as what I think you're looking for. The previous recommends were what I could think of at the time.)
PS: IF you find some perfect solution, please come back and recommend it! I'm looking for exactly the same kind of experience, too. :)
Also Dragon Quest X is a mmorpg that is getting a offline singleplayer release. It's Japanese only, but hopefully it either gets an official or fan translation in the future. I don't know how it plays but the guy behind it is a huge fan of wow so it's likely some part of DQX was influenced by wow.
- Sword Art Online Hollow Realization
- Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen
but one thing you can actually do is, google for "SSP repacks" and get informed
outside of that, there are actually only 3 real single player alternatives for mmos
if you like pvping, middle earth shadow of war has a very interesting "endgame loop" where you have to siege enemies fortressess and protect yours, the combat is a mix of arkham's free flow and dragon's dogma, and the sieges are like guild wars 2 battlegrounds and world vs world
monster hunter series if you like the aspect of leveling in wow while crafting your own gear and leveling professions, it has some intense boss battles that can last over 40 minutes, but quite the opposite of an open world game
if you like battlegrounds, there is quake and unreal tournament, both games hava maps that works similar to wow bgs, its probably where blizzard got the inspiration from
there is also mount and blade, its has nothing to do with wow but its a very rare case of a single player rpg with an actual decent economy, it works similar to a player driven economy
Like I want to play WoW and EQ exactly how they are but without all you people in it and i want it to be balanced that way....... Fallout and Skyrim are the worst recommendations. I do not think this type of game exist. Cause the world still searching.
