what happened to the vac community forum section

Read those threads. Once each of them is considered as "resolved", the mods there lock it right away, so no more debate. I know, it's kinda fascist, but it's kinda in place like that. Mods there act pretty much like a "judge" in real life lol.

Yea I don't even understand for having that forum anyway. What is the point? Like every single "kid" gonna cry there but then he/she would get "crushed" in no time. Might as well just lock the forum and let the "customer service" (if there is even any) to handle. What they do is just a waste of time, resources and probably money (if mods get paid).

there is a one in a hundred billion chance VAC bans the wrong person. But it's in waves so the chance diminishes. VAC doesn't ban there and then it gets evidence and data then next wave ban your ass.


so i sorta agree it's kinda useless in hindsight. Now a false game ban THAT is more abuse from game devs or game mods. I've seen it happen in alot of games. That would be a better forum to have.

I think the original point is to ask questions about and discuss the features of VAC. So things like "will I get VAC banned for doing xyz?", those threads are left open and people can actually discuss.

But the real reason why there is a VAC forum is that they want a place where all the cheaters can go to complain about getting banned. Not that anyone will listen ofc. But they're gonna complain anyways and without a central VAC forum they would just post in the game forums which is not wanted.

So it's basically steams spam folder.

they move vac threads there from other boards, and then lock it so the rest of us can schadenfreude at the collection of banned smoothbrains

That just means it's working. They have to spam the same reply and subsequently lock the thread for no monetary compensation and until the end of times. A grim destiny, but somebody has to do it, or else those threads will flood every other forum.
