I am obsessed with Batman

Just wrapped of Batman Year One. Started up Dark Knight Returns and on the third chapter. I'm already obsessed with batman, manly because of the animated show from the 90s me and my grandpa watch. I own a good ton of Batman figures I got for Christmas, and even got a Batman hoodie I wear a lot. He is just so cool, and a superhero I always looked up too, especially right now

I grew up watching the original Television series. (Mostly re-runs, but it was still aired.) Good ol' Adam West and Friends. :)

Anyway, enjoy your Batman stuffs! Always remember, though - No matter what all the movie producers dictate, the directors and DC desperately trying to gain attention, Batman does not kill. Batman has his "one rule." It is what makes Batman, Batman.

The Arkham and Telltale games are all great too. Arkham Origins may be the exception--I always liked it, but a lot of people didn't.

Only read a handful of the comics though. I was gonna read No Man's Land, but I haven't gotten around to it. I think I was gonna get one of the volumes every year or so and I just forgot after Cataclysm, lol.

A lot of people like batman, because he's relatable in some ways. He doesn't have super powers, like many "super hero's" do. Basically his super power is "I'm rich". He's not super smart, super strong, super fast, etc he's just a human............who is rich.

In universe, he kind of is super smart. He doesn't have the cartoony enlarged head with veins popping out but a large part of many Batman stories is detective work. Ra's Al Ghul even has a habit of calling him "detective."

Yeah he's a good character to look up to - serious, just, fighting for the right cause - kinda a cooler-looking crime investigator.

The Joker, on the other hand, is a mischievous, chaotic character, who has reasons to be the way he is, still, he is hell-bent to spread mayhem and havoc in a rather nihilistic fashion.

They're both cool characters.

Mask of the Phantasm is awesome, it explores some aspect of Batmans psyche I don't think has been done that much (if at all) by other stories. At least that's what I read, don't know if it's actually true or not. Either way, it's great.
