Why does anime have such perverse distortions of women?

Aren't all anime characters distorted as all hell? Why is it only a problem when it's about a female character?

only thing that sells more than outrage and causes is sex


In most animes they portray them as literal top alpha females:
-pretty / beautiful and attractive in general
-strong
-smart
-for the most part average so thin and some bigger proportions highlighted (the US and England aren't the only major countries in the world thin people like Norway and Japan and Korea still exist. Not everyone is on average fatter than the fattest man in 1934).
-kind or at least caring in some cases
-pushy but also docile depending
-varying attitudes but most look very good


most people will argue it sets an unrealistic standard for women.

I'm like yeah having an average decent looking good human being on both the female AND MALE anime character is unrealistic. Most people are ugly irl inside and out.

Even in animes like that guardian spice and steven universe cartoon they make the anime girls look at least cute or lookable at. They know even with all the crap they put into it if their characters look ugly no one will look at the show. If they can admit to that you can admit it too!!!


Some shows can make it work but most of them are normal slice of life or regular animes / shows.And they tend to dive deeper into the story or themes. Imagine a shallow pandering show where all the characters look ugly. By god no one would even bother past the 3rd episode.


it's also escapism. Having guys and girls looking hot is crossing the line of reality but them taking on a giant monster or robot or themselves in different form with nothing but their bare hands or an iron sword suddenly that's realistic.



that being said just like animes and my games i like to shut off my mind and shoot stuff or explore or build i watch animes where it's comedic predictable and well endowed anime girls. It's a guilty pleasure that's safer than most alternative stuff irl stuff (like narcotics and alcohol)

Michael bay is more known for his explosive setups and fight scenes. But you're right he does have some attractive and suggestive scenes.

it's like that in most modern movies. If you look at movies like the avengers you know damn well that like 1/2 their cast couldn't act. They got better but by god the early movies were horrible. You think they'll hire them based on acting skills? No they hired them on acting skills AND their looks.

It's like that movie with will ferrel the christmas one or something. It's like he had a six pack for no reason in some comedy family fun movies and adult movies. Like he didn't but he did it anyway. You think he worked his ass off to look good and have a six pack for the hell of it? No! he knew it'd help the movie a little bit. Even if they did come out only for like 1 min.
