I don't know what the hell Steam is becoming honestly.
First they introduce awards, which would be fine if they were something normal like a golden trophy but they had to try and copy one of the most cancerous social media platforms on the internet, Reddit. And since those awards can be used to buy cool stuff for your profile, people will just constantly try to farm them. Now that's something really hypocrite to say coming from a guy like me who farmed 10k points by making haha funni amogus guide, but I guess that serves as an example of why they're so bad.

Then they let things that basically count as soft ♥♥♥♥ get to the Steam point shop, I'm not saying it's something bad by itself since, well, those types of profile existed since way before the point shop did, but the fact that they always appear as "most bought" when going to the point shop is a bad thing considering that there's no way to filter that out and that there are millions of kids using Steam. It really wouldn't be too hard to add an option to filter that out and make it so that it filters out automatically when an account is under a certain age.

I really don't want to say that everything about this is bad, because it isn't, there are hundreds of cool things on the point shop, and the award system could be improved so that there aren't that many people constantly looking for ways to get steam points for free, but stuff like the things mentioned on this post shouldn't really be displayed around with no restrictions or ways to filter them out. As another user said, someone will eventually find a way to basically upload ♥♥♥♥ and that isn't going to end up well.

I think it is heavily run through moderators so we dont have a dead girl insert in the market again...
