I don't know how I managed to miss "Idiocracy"...apparently, I'm an idiot?

Someone posted a couple of links earlier (in a thread that got deleted quickly), and I felt compelled to go and watch that movie.

Wow, Brawndo really does have what plants crave?

Have you people seen this movie? Does it not frighten you to see how closely the world (and this forum in particular) mirror that dystopian world?

I'd like to thank that user for posting those links, but I'm pretty sure you morons marvelous intellectuals would give him a starring role in "Monday Night Rehabilitation".

That movie just made my all-time, top ten list.

I haven't seen idiocracy, but I did just watch a minute of it through a youtube clip - the scene where they're discussing Brawndo having electrolytes.

Then I scrolled down to the comments section and saw a bunch of left/right wing people arguing with each other, each one saying that the scene from Idiocracy is a representation of arguing with the opposing side.

In my mind, both sides look like morons, but that's neither here nor there. The point is, Brawndo has electrolytes, it has what plants crave.

You should totally watch the movie, it's classic. But yes, both political "sides" claim victory while watching it.

One funny thing is the program that assigns "Not Sure" his new name.

It's very similar to official federal programs. See you want to explain your stuff, and it's like "Nah, we got a template"

And these templates are in broken English.

But they don't care how you "feel" about it, they just want you to fill that stuff out, according to template.

So Joe Bowers becomes "Not sure"

I've filled out federal paperwork where it literally asks "#7: Who gets the money" and you're supposed to answer Yes/No.

Thankfully, I've been able to phone an actual human being in these circumstances, but hold time is now 2 hours. This isn't a parody, this is real life.

But honestly, if I could get one of those do nothing all day jobs with air conditioned cubicle, I'd welcome my terrifying spider spinal overlords.

You do make an excellent point - there were no "smart" people in the entire film...lol

Since the movie is already more than ten years old, recent history has proven beyond a doubt, who is really being mocked...of course, as already mentioned, there are no "winners".
