I don't know how I managed to miss "Idiocracy"...apparently, I'm an idiot?

Someone posted a couple of links earlier (in a thread that got deleted quickly), and I felt compelled to go and watch that movie.

Wow, Brawndo really does have what plants crave?

Have you people seen this movie? Does it not frighten you to see how closely the world (and this forum in particular) mirror that dystopian world?

I'd like to thank that user for posting those links, but I'm pretty sure you morons marvelous intellectuals would give him a starring role in "Monday Night Rehabilitation".

That movie just made my all-time, top ten list.

I see them just fine. Apparently you're just not allowed to watch those trailers. Not really that odd., That movie has particularly touchy subjects in the form of a comedy.

They must be classified under the "Violent Video Games cause Shooters". Get rid of them rather than the gun problem itself and a clearly mental issue not being addressed, but rather using shift focus / blame tactics to take it out upon others, for your own messed up life failures.

My opinion is that I liked the movie "Idiocracy". There is no "bubble", I have not created multiple threads (like this or anything else in recent memory), you most certainly haven't "burst" anything, and I still have no idea who "them" is supposed to be.

You are taking issue with the "this forum IS Idiocracy" part, and "these threads" refers to stupid things that get posted in here, and that I am the problem?

I'm still confused about the bursting bubbles bit and have no idea who "them" would be, but that's ok. What you have done is to help prove the point, however.

^^^ I read a review that called it a "Smart, dumb movie". That seems about right. It's a step up from Beavis and Butthead, and it's the social commentary that I appreciate most.

In this forum, we are all aware of the "dumbing down" of games issue, it struck me as funny to apply that to our entire species. I've also been making the same point that the premise is based on for many years - more education leads to less procreation, while the opposite is also true.

Fortunately, I suspect it has always been this way, so I'm not really worried about it.
