Channeling: A bit gimmicky, simply calls down thunder when there is thunder storm. Only useful for farming heads or something...
Riptide: The most useful enchantment, it will let you travel around at fast speed in water or in rain. If combined with the elytra, can get to places really fast. Can also help you save those precious rockets.
Loyalty: Like Thor's Hammer, it goes back to you when thrown. Simple and convenient.
Does not seem to be a damaging type weapon more like a support item. We already got the Bow and crossbow for ranged attacks. The Sword with enchantments will do just fine. Having a spear for raw damage is bit useless in my opinion because most mobs can't even get you if you can time your sword right.
I think they should just add more enchantments to the trident... Some suggestions would be like "Ghost", a water decoy would appear once you throw the trident and would only last for about 5 seconds. Cool-down would be 7 or 10 secs.
I feel like a lot of trident enchantments are either gimmicks/recreational. For something this difficult to get it should have similar power to end game gear. I get it’s supposed to be only good during thunder and rain but they should change the way you obtain it, maybe through ocean monuments.
