Is there a way to add Minecraft to steam but not the launcher?

I would like to ask why you want to launch Minecraft without the launcher, but I'm pretty sure I won't like the answer.

Also I'm pretty sure you can't launch Minecraft without the launcher. Because you know that starts the game. Because you have to login. Unless of course you're playing a pirated copy.

now dungeons is going to launch through the minecraft launcher, so ive been wondering this too so i can have both dungeons and minecraft java seperately in steam

And that there is why I too am looking for this solution. mainly I have valhesia 2 through twitch, and so I have added twitch to my Steam library so i can stream it with my low powered PC ;) However, i want to bypass the need for the twitch, now I can add the MC Launcher to my list sure, but when I do that, my Valhelsisia java file is not there. It only shows when I launch it with twitch.

I'm looking for a way to add the java .jar forge file with the java arguments needed to run the game.

Would I just go about adding java.exe to my steam launcher? then adding Launch Options?
