If you had to choose one console (Xbox Series X/S, PS5, etc.) Which would you choose and why?

PS5, likely.

Playstation used to be much more popular with Japanese developers, and I don't think this can change from one day to the next.

XBox feels rather westernized, maybe even PC-ish.

I would be astonished if a modern console game couldn't handle M+KB input.

I mean, Tony Hawk's Underground 2 made in-game use of a USB keyboard, and that was a PS2 game. Didn't use it for the main control but you would think over the last 20 years, these things would have made progress.

First person shooters would be so much better on consoles.. I'd actually buy a console if they made Keyboard and Mouse a default option.

Eh I don't like the bigger Switch models, I had 2 the second with the bigger battery. I just wanted something small to use only handheld and as tiny as possible.

Due to owning 2 other Switches I actually own a ton of games for it, digitally. I have a 128gb micro ssd in it and over 40 games installed. But it just sits there collecting dust. I may go back and finish Paper Mario one day.

probably a switch but even then 90% of the game I play is on PC , I like the huge ammount of games on PC and play as much indie and retro games then modern games.

I don't really care about next gen games that much so I'm still happy even if my PC is getting a bit old.

Steam Deck, if it counts as a console. The games are significanly cheaper than on regular consoles, and I can play games I already own on it. Plus I'm looking for a handheld gaming device.

PS5 although probably hold off for a slimmer model for space reasons. Already have the PS1 through 4 so may as well get a PS5 for the sony collection.

I'll pick Xbox, there is no reason to buy anything Playstation related now that Microsoft acquired almost everything. They're at the mercy of Xbox sharing their games while they only have Spiderman

I would choose the first version of the original Wii because it is my favourite one, of all times.
I can play all Wii games, all Gamecube games and also some Super Nintendo and Mega Drive games (basically all my most favourite Mega Drive games were available on it, and I love the Mega Drive too), and I also have the Photo channel, I loved the Photo channel.

The only bad thing, the only thing that I would really miss a lot, is that Oblivion and Skyrim are not available, but I can use my PC for them which is undoubtedly better than any console for those games, I'd love to have them on the Wii since I love the Wii so much but it is just not possible unfortunately but for sure I would never choose a Playstation console or an XBox console only for them.
