The best Joker actor

We have seen countless actor there played the Joker in both movies, TV series and also a lot of different voice actor in the animated movies and series. But right now I am only looking on the movie actors and tried to figured out who is the really the best one.

Nick Creegan Batwoman 2019
Jared Leto Suicide Squad 2016
Heath Ledger The Dark Knight 2008
Jack Nicholson Batman 1989
Cesar Romero Batman 1966

To be honest I am really like 50/50% on either Joaquin Phoenix or Heath Ledger. Both played the Joker perfectly. I never saw Batwoman, so I really don´t know Nick Creegan performance. Jared Leto as the Joker in Suicide Squad was a huge disappointment, but the little we saw of him in Justice League was really great. Jack Nicholson as the Joker was also pretty decent, I always like that long revolver sence. About Cesar Romero as the Joker, dont ask...

But who do you think there was the best Joker ?.

Joaquin's Phoenix's Joker is painfully real, just a mentally ill guy who got really lucky. He doesn't seem to be a crime genius.

Heath Ledger's - I'm not sure if he's really mentally ill, or just a sociopath, and he is quite a crime genius.

It's an odd show. Very deadpan absurd humor. But I don't remember Mark in it. Haven't watched it all though...

I would start with the movie.

A lot of people missed it., b/c he's so unrecognizable until someone says it's him.

The phrase "Jackie Daytona" should be a hint.

I honestly dont feel like Joker movie from 2019 was a movie about a comic book villain. It was a movie about mentally ill entertainer whose life became even worse and ended up killing few people. Thats it. They just used the name of the movie to make it more interesting and made more people to watch it. Its worth to watch, but i refuse to acknowledge it being a movie about the Joker and i therefore dont count Phoenix as one of the Joker actors.

My vote goes to Jack Nicholson.

Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight 2008. Has to be my favourite batman film of all time but it's mainly cause of heath tbh.

Animated? Mark Hamill for the rest Jack Nicholson and Cesar Romero. Jared Leto was a joker addicted to meth and Joaquin Phoenix depicted the joker akin to those sad clown paintings.

I only saw Jared Leto, heath ledgers, and Joaquin Phoenix. They're alright but it's just weird when you actually compare it to the animated version of Joker voiced by Mark Hamill. Mark did a great job with the voice and the way the joker is portrayed in comics, animated shows, and videogames is just better compared to the live action jokers. Thank God we have Troy baker (voiced joker in Batman Arkham Origins) to possibly step in just in case Mark retires from the role.

Hm... I've seen only Jack Nicholson's, Jared Leto's, and Cesar Romero's versions of Joker ..... so between the three, I really like Cesar Romero. I'm currently in the middle of watching season three of the original series with my family and Cesar's episodes are among some of my favorites. (As well as any episode with Julie Newmar, Burgess Meredith, or Frank Gorshin in them). My kids always say that Cesar and Frank always bring just the right amount of crazy to their performances.
