Are you a fan of audio books? **EDITED**
I honestly never thought about picking one up lol but thought it might be fun to try. ( relaxing )

I'm sure they are available at the library / Barnes and Noble ect.

HA! :P

I love psychological thrillers and horror.
I don't read books much but I prefer reading them myself.
I read comic books.
Thanks to my vision, I have an audio book connection through the Library of Congress and every Library in the U.S.

Currently listening to book two of Destroyermen. Which is a ww2 setting sci-fi book series featuring the old 4 stacker steam destroyers.

Audio books are great. I highly recommend The Sum of all Fears

Cool!

I have some eye stuff going on as well & I think it would be worth a shot.
Try your local Library for audio books, they usually have some, and you can't beat the price.

Highly recommend, if eye issues, look up BARD and audio books. It also gets you access to periodicals and music as well. Tons of downloads for up to date stuff.

Plus they send you a reader. It has digital cartridges that are 30 plus hours long books and the reader can charge and play around that easy.
They're useful.

But pointless, in my reality. Because lots of reasons.
Yeah they're pretty good, I like listening to the audiobook while I read too, it's better than reading alone just by yourself
Wouldn't call myself a big fan, but I'd take it any day over reading a book myself. For some reason after longer sessions (or even one page sometimes) my eyes start to hurt and it looks like text is doubled.

So I'd go Digital > Audio >>> Real
Iv e got a collection on Aud that's around 170ish purchased and unlimited free ones.

I'm a huge fan of Simon Vance among others. Some of my favorites are

Screwtape Letters C.S. Lewis
Escape From Camp 14 (a must)
Gulag Archipelago by Alexander S. (a classic must.
Also , Gentleman Bastard series by Scott Lynch

I listen all day combined with many podcasts.i don't watch tv at all

Never was but then I decided to try the audiobook of Neil Gaiman's The Sandman since I'm a fan of the comic series. It's fantastic.
I used to have to travel quite a bit, so I started listening to audio books and found them useful entertainment, for the most part. (And, because I was forced to read three of the Harry Potter books and couldn't stand them... so found listening to audio versions a bit more palatable. :))
All books should have the ability to be audio books with A.I,text recognition and text to speech programs.
Audible offers a free one month trial on sign up, which gives you a token to get ANY of their books, regardless of the price. + when you cancel they try keep you by offering a half price membership for 1-3 months, so you can just keep cancelling and getting offers. This is all my personal experience atleast. Oh yeah, you also get a free monthly book anyway from them to redeem too. :)
