I love psychological thrillers and horror.
Currently listening to book two of Destroyermen. Which is a ww2 setting sci-fi book series featuring the old 4 stacker steam destroyers.
Audio books are great. I highly recommend The Sum of all Fears
I have some eye stuff going on as well & I think it would be worth a shot.

I'm a huge fan of Simon Vance among others. Some of my favorites are
Screwtape Letters C.S. Lewis
Escape From Camp 14 (a must)
Gulag Archipelago by Alexander S. (a classic must.
Also , Gentleman Bastard series by Scott Lynch
