What if the Coca-Cola Company and PepsiCo merged?
In this scenario, both The Coca-Cola Company and PepsiCo will need to sell of all of their subsidiaries. After that, both The Coca-Cola Company and PepsiCo will finally merge together. Maybe there could be a new product under the tentative name of "Amalgam Cola", a softdrink that is essentially a mixture of Pepsi Cola and Coca-Cola.

How would this turn out?

Almost total monopoly over several markets.

Don't rule it out. It's unlikely but it could most definitely happen.

However, I did mention that they would need to sell off any and all subsidiaries prior.
