Getting the Starcraft 2 F2P thing, is it worth it?
While I'll have to buy the extra campaigns, is it worth it to get free multiplayer and other things for free? I've been off an on about playing RTS games, not going to lie. I like Star Wars Empire at War as I grew up with that. Is F2P starcraft worth it, now?

The single player is pretty damn good and is worth playing on its own. Multiplayer has a pretty steep learning curve and you will likely get crushed in your first few matches. The game also has a pretty good editor and modding community to go with it as well.

I didn't enjoy even the paid version and only got it and all expansions for the cross-game promotions before I moved away from Activision/Blizzard, but it's really not my genre. Mileage may vary. If it's F2P now, you can just try it out.

I say it's only worth it if you are going to play a lot of multiplayer. Co-op mode is only good if you are willing to play for the generals. As for the Wing of Liberty campaign it is enjoyable, but I found the story to have some continuity plot holes that ignores some select details from the first game.

Speaking of the first game if you don't already own it they made the full classic version of StarCraft 1 free. So I would start with that one first then if you enjoy it move on to StarCraft 2 f2p version.

Yes. Story is really good. Coop is fun and ♥♥♥♥ multiplayer when you have the arcade.
