"She so bald she don't know when to stop washing her face!"
"She so bald when she takes a shower she gets brainwashed!"
You watch too much television.
It is if you accept it at face-value (as a joke) or maintain a sense of humor (cause it's meant as comedy, not tragedy). At worse: It's ignorant and not funny, but that usually makes the comedian look worse than you. Violence is a poor response.
Also: Comedy roasts exist, and people usually enjoy them.
Just saying.
Now that's what I call a good joke.
More to the point...
They see the humor in it when they directs it at others, and not so much when it's directed at them.
"Rules for thee... but not for me"
People watch those shows?
Can't have those any more...
The golden age of having a thick skin and being able to laugh at yourself is long gone. *sigh*
Now everyone melts and has a breakdown because "words hurt"
Well that was before my time. And for the ones that were during my younger time, never really paid attention to it. Doesn't sound entertaining to me, honestly.
I've seen the roasts of William Shatner and of Flava Flav, and both were quite good, and quite no-holds-barred brutal.
Thankfully these people aren't in charge... but I fear someday they will.
