Should we be concerned about Gacha Club?
Gacha Club for those who don't know about it's existence (I myself found it today) is a popular anime/chibi style video game marketed towards children and young teens. It's essentially an anime market trying to capitalise from other questionable titles like Club Penguin or whatever idk.

The gameplay is simple, i haven't played it myself because I don't exactly want the FBI showing up to my door but from what I have been told, you create a list of chibi characters using the games in-built character creator and then you can choose from a variety of slides to create a video.

Essentially it's like teaching kids about basic animation, seems innocent enough right?

well...

Some of the clothing choices in this game are questionable at best but the real red flag is the childrens ability to actually type out and text what the characters will say to one another. With the hopes that mods don't take this post down because honestly.. I struggled to sit through this video, and there's are hundreds more videos like this one.

Give people tools to get creative, and they will use them, and not always in the ways in which the original creators intended.

The maker of the tool may exercise their right to moderate the user created content, and this is just fine. Ultimately though it's up to the parents of any children to be aware of what kind of content their kids are consuming, no matter what platform that content is coming from.

Good thing Valve deleted all references to Gacha Club in many announcements for games in the news hub. Can't have it running rampant here too.

Just sounds like kids being mean to other kids. Which is nothing new, as empathy can develop later in life for some people.

We should always be concerned about turning kids into weebs.
I dont see any issue with it, after all chibi has existed long enough that alot of people do it in different forms. Heck even Avatar the last airbender did it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Ptk5qISgfc
