well to be fair hentai isn't much different from regular porn, the issue i think Iis how underage the characters in it look in some of them (ie what people call Loli/shota). There are some hentai/animated porn games where the characters are and look like adults

That being said, thee is no reason to ban or attack avatars from games on this forum. Sorry, but if there's a valid reason for certain avatars for games, it's absurd to complain.

There's a famous game on Steam that is very gory and features underage nudity, but it's based on the infamous train derailment in India.
So, really, things can be used for a valid reason and not for naughty things.

Hentai is trying to circumnavigate existing child protection laws, that needs to change.
It is 100% unacceptable not just on Steam but anywhere.

I have Steam configured so that I don't run into that material much at all. When I see it pop up in suggestions on the store page, I select the "Ignore" option, I never see it again after that.
Luckily there is not that much of it on Steam so, spend a bit of time "ignoring" stuff and it soon goes away from the Featured stores suggestions. The problem with strict censor searches is that they often block stuff indiscriminately reducing what you get access to finding that is not offensive.

That's why I made the distinction about the ones who are clearly adults and those who look underage. Not trying to defend hentai here, I don't even watch hentai ttbf just saying there are two different things going on.

How though? They're not real characters, they don't have an age, it's impossible. You'd be out of your mind to give the role of deciding to a human, especially if there were to be legal authority with said role. Nothing can be done, as I see it. The fact that it is a "cartoon" is probably the loophole that lets them circulate such material without prosecution. It still depicts minors so it cant be tolerated by any civilized society. You would have to be mentally unsound to be interested in that material. It should be removed from Steam at least.
