That is a very valid and fair point. Given how much Steam hates politics and will delete threads and ban people, it is rank hypocrisy that they then break their own rules in this way. There are also Trump pictures available on Steam. They are in effect provoking political discussions / arguments that they claim not to tolerate.

I will guarantee you that you will get into trouble if you used a swastika for an avatar pic. Even though the swastika is thousands of years old and belongs to the religion of Jainism (founded around 8 thousand years ago and still current), I think it is also used in Hinduism that is of around the same age as Jainism.
Hitler uses a reversed form of a swastika for about 2 decades or less and nobody is allowed to use a swastika anywhere anymore. Before WW I the swastika was a very popular symbol used as a good luck charm in many nations across the planet. It is a positive symbol not the.

We cant just delete or "cancel" history like it never happened, or pretend that history is not an academic study etc. Either Steam is ok with politics and obscenity or they are not, they cant be both. Stalin killed millions more people than Hitler did, and Hitler was a not a nice guy (although to be fair, the others in the Nazi party were far worse than Hitler).

The easiest solution is just to remove all political figureheads from Steam shop avatars.

Porn is ok for consenting adults but, any form of pedophilia is unacceptable. There are also age restrictions by law for porn in general. Steam could easily end up with lawsuits to deal with if they don't act on that issue.

Steam asks your age Everytime you get into a M or OA game and I think the lewd games are disabled by default from showing up on the front page or lists
