I don't think I've ever told someone to "git gud" seriously. Or "ur bad".

I have said the first one a few times. Mainly to one of my friends.

It depends in what context it is said.

Besides. Its a you-thread. Those never make sense to post those on a forum, because everyone will come up with another answer.

not offensive but still just plain rude depending on the context you're saying it.

If its followed up with words of how to be better than take offence
Why? That sounds like a more thoughtful response than just sending git gud or whatever.
i mean it all depends..."git gud, you suck at camping" is something id get pissy about. especially when you dont camp.

No it isn't, if they get offended from it that means they are bad and refuse to admit it they need a reality check that they aren't some epic hax0r gamer and git gud.
Count_Dandyman 12. apr. 2021 kl. 1:44
It depends heavily on context it can be very dismissive and elitist but sometimes it really is the only possible advice because the person is asking about something that is entirely on a personal level where they need to improve their reactions, accuracy or focus in a way that can't be answered with something like try moving to the right or watch the tail.

It's not offensive it's just belligerent.

Like generally speaking, i'd say i would only say that ever to someone that completely lack game sense and talk ♥♥♥♥.

Offensive? No. But I do think it's most of the time a void-argument and used too often in the forum as an ad-hominem variant.
Well in my case I am lazy, don't practice much and wing it most of the time. So a git gud directed at me would be just a cheeky version of practice more thy lazy bum.
