It's really unfortunate tbh. Reminds me of the people early in the pandemic who said they'd go out to party and "only old people were dying". Like they didn't know or care about anyone over the age of 60.

Didn't come off that way in the slightest. Lives matter regardless of the attention the deaths get. We had an obituary in the paper for my grandparent. Does that mean it's okay for someone to be so dismissive and rude because they didn't do that? No.

You are just using your own bias.. do you wanna post a RIP for all old people that died today? then we would never get to stop making threads about it.. do you wanna know how many kids died from starvation today?...... Death happens all the time, but does not really effect us unless, it is someone we are close to (not ourself, because then, obviously we would just be dead)

What is wrong with comparing the tragedy of various deaths? I had an aunt who died before her third birthday, I think her death is more tragic than Prince Phillip's death at age 99.
