the fact that he was a part of an institution that is the very definition of class oppression is just a minor detail really he was a nice guy
Oh. Money. I thought you meant the hydrixywhatever can't be bothered to spell "hydroxychloroquine" right.
99 is a long life though.
what am I making up?
He wasn't born into it tho, he married into it.
You should watch this documentary.
Specifically, the part starting 41m 30s in
https://youtu.be/1oCqqn_uOiY?t=2490
But the part starting 7 minutes in, is the most upsetting one.
All in all he belonged to the British Royal family. The same ones who oppressed for so long almost half the world. I will never feel bad for his dead, same with the Queen when she dies one day.,
Death is certain as life. This dude died at 99 and surely had a luxury life. Why should people morn him then? He had it better than you will ever have.
that aside the monarchy are constantly produced briefings on policy and the prime minister meets with the queen weekly to discuss policy issues, saying that the queen has no power is incredibly wrong and exactly the kind of sentiment that has let this terrible system of oppression still survive to this day
Is it sad for his family and friends? yes.. not that it matters for me or most others.
RIP threads like these, seems rather pointless, if people really do want to put focus on someone that "touched" them.. then make a proper tribute and put in your own story (if you ask me)
I probably have it better than you, does that make me a burgeoise oppressor?
I mean sure it does. We wouldn't have the devices we use to post on without systemic exploitation....
