The Simpsons. Spongebob is great, but The Simpsons had more to offer and Spongebob gets annoying after a while when you watch it for long periods.

I've never seen SpongeBob. But I've come to dislike many seasons of the Simpsons. It has worsened from season to season from my impression. It turned into a brainless slapstick show whereas it used to have some pretty clever jokes earlier on. It wasn't so sledgehammer-to-your-face with its social criticism previously either. Now I often feel my braincells commiting suicide when newer seasons are running. (The "new" being very relative, since it feels as if it had significantly declined in quality like ten years ago already.)

Yeah, got to agree. It lost its charm when the animation became sharper, the older not so perfect style was more comfortable, it looks so "sterile" and cold now. Then there's writing and jokes that got worse.

Still, they made like 14 seasons or something before it started to get worse, though still watchable. I watched few episodes of season 20, and idk if i have even watched that season before, but it was way worse than seasons. 3 to 8 which i had been watching before that. Season 16 is still good, so i think the point where it got worse is around 17 to 20.

Everytime I see the new fancy shadows that the characters have in the newer seasons I literally want to scream at Matt Groening: "♥♥♥♥ THAT! WHO CARES ABOUT SHADOWS! ITS NOT FUN TO WATCH, MAN!"
