Is kill ping legit?
Supposedly kill ping is a service that will help deal with any online lag you get. My internet is extremely bad. I use hughesnet crappy ass satellite wifi and we get 10 GB per month. At night around 2 AM, we get 50 GB to use and then that ends around 8 AM and goes back to 10 GB.

Our wifi isn't meant for gaming at all, mostly for web browsing. If I subscribed to kill ping which costs like $40 something for a year since it's a deal they have going on. Would have been like $200 something for a year, not shidding you either.

Does anyone know of this service and use it? Does it work for you well?

I'm no expert but i don't think you can just magically get rid of ping with a service you found online

Kill ping seems to think so

Not just that but if data is restricted to 10Gb during the day from your IP, then that has nothing to do with ping. I will say that sounds like a total ripoff though. Why not get something like Comcast? I only pay $39.99 a month for the 60mpbs speed and unlimited data but I keep my computer connected to the modem and don’t use WiFi so it’s more like 100mpbs.

Your connection will still go through the satellite first, correct? Then it can be routed to a Kill Ping server. But then it is too late. You still have all the satellite lag.

ya its the satellite that will kill it. shoot your internet into space and back and stuff.
killping wont help that

In a few years Elon Musk (SpaceX dude) will have his satellite internet ready. Then you should be able to get a better deal. There may be the ability to try it out in beta in just a year or two. Until then, you are kinda stuck. One or two other companies plan on doing what Musk is doing.

The problem with services like this (wtfast was another example) is that if your internet provider sucks and you pay for one of these services that attempts to reroute your connection well...guess what? Rerouting a crappy internet connection is still going to result in crappy internet.
There was actually a plan to create a network of solar powered drones to provide fast free internet for everybody.

And some freaking genius with a sense of humor picked the name.

Christ.... i download that daily, more even.
why pay for an additional service?
just get a better service if possible.

if you're like me who lives in a secluded place, we're both doomed. the only ISP in our mountainous town only offers LTE. no fiber, dsl, cable internet....

Ping is your internet, anything added to that internet relay in any way is going to slow it down, not speed it up. Anyone promising this is lying and profiting from people who believe in magical code.

That's not how things work in the real world. If you live in an isolated area like some others have said, you're kinda screwed for the time being. However I would point out that if enough people in an area hook up with a company that services a location NEAR with better equipment, suggesting to that company 'hey we would like better service than your competitor, see what you can do'... maybe some day that might get the wheels in motion.

That's not how it works...!

I know this topic is semi old, but I would like to chime in an warn anyone from using Kill Ping. Take a look at their Trustpilot score (https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.killping.com) and see all the negative reviews about scams where the application doesnt really do anything to help reduce lag or ping, the non existent support and the many reports of fraudulent charges from Kill Ping after customers have cancelled their sub, and failure to fulfill their 15 day money back guarantee.

Additionally if you go to their website and read the terrible grammar there I feel convinced they are nothing but scammers, it's just one big red flag all over. Hell it could even just be one scamming person with little skill in anything else than some ability to scam people.

Also, 10$ per month?? and for what?

I rate Kill Ping 1/10 trust rating.
