There needs to be more context there because that quote can be picked apart and interpreted in ways probably unintended.
I'm sure Mr. Phil saw that coming, though...
That's the point I think. Make a vague, very non-specific quote, and people will figure out a way how to make it "true" without you having to put in any effort.
It's basically like any Nostradamus prophecy. People just decide "Oh yeah that's what he meant" and stop thinking.
