Any (not grand-strategy) video games set between 1500s-1700s ?
Mount and Blade: With Fire and Sword (1600s Eastern-Europe) and Expeditions: Conquistador (1500s North-America) are two that I play and love. I also had a good time with Sid Meier's Pirates back in the day. Can anyone recommend more video games that aren't grand-strategy and are set any time between the 1500s-1700s? I don't play multiplayer games, so I'm looking for something that has a singleplayer component.

Hmmm. Several of the Assassin's Creed games fit that. I know I should know more, but I am blanking for some reason.

I've heard there's one set in the 18th century Caribbean ... could be fun. I don't know that series well though, never played them before. I'd be willing to try if the setting and gameplay looked good.
That would be AC: Black Flag, and it is freaking stellar. Commanding your own ship of hearty scurvy sea dogs, pitched naval battles, wonderful sea shanties, and, oh yeah, you are a blade packing spider monkey ninja. I would say it is the best of the series. But I do love pirates.

I'll give it a look ;)

Assassin's Creed: Black Flag is the one you're thinking of. I believe it's set in the early 1700s. There is also Assassin's Creed III, set during the American revolution.

Isn't there another one that takes place in the Seven Year's War? Or maybe I got confused and the American Revolutionary game is the one I was thinking of...

Assassin's Creed Rogue.

All 3 games from Kenway Saga are set in that time period you ask for. (3, BF, Rogue)

Plus AC Chronicles China is set in 16th Century.

Hellish Quart is a recently released sword fighting game set in the 17th century in Eastern Europe. The scope is very limited though as it's just sword duels - but a very fun game nonetheless. Takes place during the exact same time period and location as 'Fire and Sword' and 'Cossacks 3'.

I didn't hear of it. Might be too limited in scope for me, but I'll take a look, thanks.

It’s set in an alternate history which also includes fantasy elements.

The setting looks to be more medieval than early-modern, no?

It takes place in 1588.

It’s alternate history. The point of divergence is during the crusades, thus the name.
