Mostly combat related changes.

-You can only attack when your weapon is 100 percent charged.
-You can hold to attack.
-After you charge to 100 percent, the old weapon recharge bar will appear, allowing you to charge to 200 percent.
-200 percent charge allows you to do special attacks (crits, sprint knockback, sweeps) as well as utilize the full range of your weapon.
-Changes to weapon damage, range, and attack speed.
-Weapons now have varying range.
-Shields no longer have a delay when you use them.
-Crits now bypass shields.
-Shields no longer knock back attackers.
-Sweeping attacks can now only be done with the Sweeping Edge enchantment.
-Weapons with faster attack speeds now give victims shorter invulnerability timers.
-You can now hit mobs through tall grass and other non-full sized blocks.

1.7.10 is prob the best version for pvp and maybe the best version for mods but Mojang wants to make bedrock and java have a combat system that makes it fair for players of all platforms

Yeah, and I have next to no interest in anything past 1.7.10, save for a couple of mods. And even then, my favorite mod is still on 1.7.10.

I like the previous one more atleast timely attacks made a difference in pvp
