Why is Youtube recommended so broken?

If I watch one videogamedunky video (or any other channel), all it recommends me is videogamedunky videos. Not saying I don't like dunkey, he's actually my favorite youtuber, but just recommend me 1 or two more not 700... Also, please stop recommending me videos that are like 4 to 6 years old, and ones I've watched already at that...

Why?.... because people are too lazy to go look themselves so YouTube does it for them....

Well, the whole point of the recommended page is to introduce you to videos you may like, but haven't seen. What's funny is that Youtube just throws in random stuff in there as well; last night, a guy cutting grass with a scythe was in my recommend.
