We finally "officially" have made a successful Human-Animal hybrid. Thoughts?

So well, I didn't expected DNA modification tools get this advanced this early in the century. So What do you guys think? Planet of Apes or some funky new lethal diseases might come around and bite us in the ass later on? Or a more optimistic point of view?

I think it was a reference to an anime where an Alchemist creates human chimeras by fusing a human with an animal. First he uses his wife, then later he uses his own daughter.

As for the topic... IMO, experimentation such as this is necessary if "we" as a collective species wish to fast track evolution and modify ourselves beyond the bounds of natural limitations. Creating enhanced humans to be smarter, faster, stronger, more durable, etc. If you've taken a few Biology course, you'll see just how scary the human body is and the untapped potential it has.

There is a lot of good that can come from this, just as there is a lot of evil that can come from it. IMO, it's akin to Atomic research; it led to weapons capable of eradicating all known life but it also led to one of the cleanest, safest, and most efficient form of energy. (Nuclear power plants. Seriously, research them.)

In regards to "Rights" of "Human animal hybrids"... IMO, it depends on their intelligence capable and expected life span. If they are as intelligent as a human but only have a lifespan of ~20 years and mature as quickly as a dog or cat, then I'd say they should be classified and treated as a pet such as dogs/cats. But if their lifespan is ~40+ then they should have the rights akin to a human.

As per usual yes you're right it's going to be used for evil stuff, however i hope it won't lead to nefarious purposes neither lead this planet and the human species to another Black Swan type of event. We got already enough crap to deal with this century, to have another thing throwing salt in the open wound that's modern society in a nutshell.

One thing is being part "banana" other thing is being half "banana" & half "human" something that by nature doesn't exist.
The only exception I know about mix of multiple parts is the animal called: Platypus. We should be seriously concerned that Mr. Jones is routinely proven correct. 1) He's said a lot of things that would be truly horrifying for the earth if they came true 2) Our government, tech platforms, and journalists have too much power to censor those whom they don't like.

Well that's a fair point given that organizations like the CIA, MI6, Mossad, etc. among other "stay behind" type of organizations still exist. My point being even if we as a collective start questioning our govt, tech platforms, journalist, etc.

Who knows if they're going to pull out another Operation Gladio to send a "message" to general public. It wouldn't be the 1st time a govt does fishy stuff neither will be the last.

In a nutshell, be it without Alex Jones or with him saying all that stuff. Us the regular citizens would not know about a ton of stuff for many decades and their respectives consequences. Maybe like 5-7 decades after we might get some declassifed files.

Edit: There's a ton of stuff that has been declassified that i find fascinating. Example the Nicaragua CONTRAS manual called “Psychological Operations in Guerrilla Warfare”.

In the official CIA govt page it only has 40ish pages with a ton of censored stuff, while the MuckRock version got all 90ish pages with no censored stuff.

Edit: Would like to add, that I like your input in the thread about having a moral angle regarding these new living beings.
It might be one of the most "sensitive" discussion topics in a few years in the future if those new hybrids go out of the lab be it normally or if they escape somehow.
