It did have naked boobs on character creation that was hilarious.
It's not really like that, because videogames aren't pizza. The product isn't customised and costed per user, it's copied for everyone from work done up front. For you to have your pineapple multiplayer, the devs have to put in the development cost in advance. That might not be justified for them, and it should be okay for them to decide they don't want to do that. Same way the devs of a racing game should be able to decide not to put in a match-3 block puzzle for the people who'd like that. Sucks for those people, but that's okay.
I completely understand the appeal of multiplayer games with bots - I share that feeling, but it's not the issue. "I prefer when games have bots" is quite a different statement from "all games should have bots": one is justified, one is not.
Also, hah, "showing deference to gamers". Lets hope that never becomes a thing. Gamers aren't owed deference; devs aren't servants.
Yes, and all those games were developed by a billion dollar company that is supported by the income from the largest PC game distribution network. I don't think it's reasonable to hold all developers in the world to the standards Valve can indulge in.
Yet I'll still die in the hill that every MP game should have bots. Just for the simple fact it allows to enjoy the game even after the playerbase has run dry and moved elsewhere. It's sad to see a MP game with an interesting mechanic that I'd be willing to jump in but is dry on players, or has such a small and dedicated userbase that the entry barrier is the Wall from GoT.
Of course that's IMO one of the reasons why bots in MP games were swiftly phased out of existence. Devs nowadays don't want players lingering in their older titles when they release the new version.
It's also why I've turned a lot of my late attention from FPS to fighting or RTS games. That's a genre where you can still find Vs AI gamemodes with regularity.
I used 'deference' on purpose as it seems bot support for MP games is seen nowadays not much more than a 'concession'.

Yet somehow, smaller developers not 'supported by the income from the largest PC game distribution network' do manage to add bot support to their games.

It's funny how it was precisely the big studios (EA, Activision...) the ones that have dropped bot support for their games the most. I can find more bot support on indie games than on AAA titles.
Agree totally. Paid for Persona 3 FES at CEX and it was a letdown. I may have liked it more if I hadn't already played Persona 4 but I will never know.
Origins > Asylum > City > Knight.
SPOILERS ahead: Batman cared more about the Joker dying than Talia. Ridiculous. The Joker caring more about Batman dying then Harley Quinn would be understandable but not what they did there. And Clayface as the last boss, appearing out of nowhere, without any hints whatsoever? Give me a break.
