Do you prefer cartoony or realistic game graphics?
For me it's always been cartoony, my sole reason for playing video games is to escape reality, not to be brought back into it.

Meh, I don't have much of an opinion. I play both. I think I tends towards cartoony though.
Cartoon like fighters and realistic shooters.

Ngl it's kinda sad that most Anime games are just gacha money vacuums.

Realistic
Both are good.
Cartoony and anime styled graphics tend to age better but some games did realistic graphics pretty well.

but yeah , in general I'd say cartoony because you don't need to draw as much detail for it to look good.

Oof, cartooney requires for me a big adjustment where IRL I really want immersion and beauty.

Versus ' ehm... 'fake' (sorry no offense) and ehm, what? I forgot...

So not 'fake' maybe wrong 'tag' but 'fantastic' and 'unrealistic'.
Realism, though even then I can be picky. When a fantasy or alien environment is done in a realistic style it can look incredible and I usually love it, but when it's done with standard real world environments, it needs to work a lot harder to look appealing.

Toon graphics can be okay when applied correctly (i.e if the characters are heavily stylized like in Mario). I am gonna have to address the elephant in the room though and that is Fortnite and it's painfully souless and creepy Pixar-esc look. Too many developers mimic this style now, and it's gone from a style I hate but can ignore, to one that I almost despise completely. It's become harder and harder for me to want to purchase a game when I see this art style, even if the game is good.

I guess I finally get where all those pixel art haters were coming from. It does get tiring seeing the same art style over and over again, especially if it's one you hate.
Depends on the game.
I prefer game graphics that fit the game
Either.
So long as it fits with the atmosphere of the game.
I prefer 2Dsh, like Diablo II: LoD or Chrono or Octopath Travler. It just doesn't get old quickly. I am now replaying GTA 3, Call of Duty 1 and Dungeon Siege 2 and you can see the Early 3D-era just doesn't stand the age of time. While 2D / Pixel-games do stand cause somehow your mind fills in the gaps and make it better.
I like all of them as long as the gameplay is decent.
Depends! Btw: There is Stuff that is kinda a mix and often that is the best if it goes into the realistic direction

lets take Aragami. GREAT game. Love it. Fits perfectly! ( the cartoony graphic style )

but dont throw no cartoony style game at me if it doesnt help the gameplay / concept / the game

Stranded Deep is great but i would NEVER have spend so much time in this game if it had graphics like Desert Skies or Windbound

well Windbound looks kinda great but im not gonna spend 2 hours on a tiny cartoony island. Im having a great time for 10 minutes on such an island but thats that
