Maybe just uninstall it? If you ever find someone to talk to there, you can just install it again.

I don't use discord anymore knowing that you can easily lose access to your account just because of someone reporting something you said while also taking it out of context.

How i know about this ?. well i abused their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ moderation system in 2020. had 1 massive server deleted, and like 150 accounts when i used to play gmod and other several clanning games. people were annoying as ♥♥♥♥

Uninstall it, if you want to check messages go to the webapp. Remove it from your phone as well.

For any addiction in life, you can't stop it by still dwelling upon it and thinking about it. You also can't stop the thinking. So rather you should replace it with something more positive. Swapping out X for Y. Then you when you consider doing X, you do Y instead and keep yourself busy/distracted.

Had a similar situation happen to me when I quit gaming, but I'd still check Steam every day, even though there was nothing there. It took a few days but I logged out and uninstalled and disappeared for a year.

Point is, it'll take time.

You said you were addicted to social media but overcame it (nice work), that means you can overcome this too. You just need a healthy dose of determination and self-discipline.

Maybe use the same tactic you used to overcome social media?
Try limiting your use of it little by little, day by day until you hardly use it.

Go outside, do other things that have nothing to do with Discord.
